SHILLONG: Sushma Poudel of Them Marwet lodged a complaint that her marriage with one Arjun Upadhaya of Jaypur, Kharjhuli, Guwahati was fixed for May 7 this year. However, on April 27, Tikaram Upadhaya, father of Arjun Upadhaya along with two others, requested to postpone the marriage for two months, which was agreed upon by the family members of the complainant but on June 28, parents of Upadhaya demanded Rs. 5 lakh and a vehicle and threatened to call off the marriage.
