Rice and Sugar released in West Khasi Hills District

SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Khasi Hills District has informed that rice quota under NFSA scheme, 2013 for the month of July, 2017, for AAY, Priority Household (PHH) and Non-NFSA within Nongstoin Sadar Sub-Division and Pariong Wholesaler Centre and Sugar for the month of February, 2017 within Nongstoin Sadar Sub-Division has been released.

The scale of issue for AAY is 35 kgs per card at the rate of Rs 3 /- per kg. For Priority Household (PHH) the scale of issue is 5 kgs per head at the rate of Rs. 3.00 per kg. The scale of issue for Non-NFSA-Group A: under Nongstoin wholesale centre is 9.40 kgs per household at the rate of Rs. 11 per kg. Group-B: under Rambrai, Markasa, Pariong and Riangdo wholesale centers is Rs. 9.40 kgs per household at the rate of Rs.11.40 per kg and Group –C: under Shahlang, Aradonga and Maweit wholesale centres is Rs. 9.580 kgs per household at the rate of Rs. 12.00 per kg. The difference of prices is due to the distance of Fair Price Shop Centre from Nongstoin. Any less supply of rice or over-changing of rate by the Fair Price Shop dealers should be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin.

The scale of issue of Sugar is 2 kgs 69 grams per household at the rate of Rs. 30 /- per kg. Any less supply or over charging of rate by the dealer may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Khasi Hills District Nongstoin along with the details or contact D H Sangma, SI (S) Ph.
