Theft menace torments city

SHILLONG: Several cases of stealing have been reported in the city in the last couple of days.
Kenny Dkhar lodged a complaint that on July 30 between 12 am and 5 am, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05G-0609) from Sunny Hills.
There was another incident on July 30 around 10.30 pm, when miscreants broke into the house of Youthanisha Dohkrut at Mawlai Motsyiar, and stole cash Rs. 48,000 and gold ornaments.
In another case, Meristella Myrthong, also lodged a complaint that on July 28, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Howell Road, and stole LED TV, fifty packets of cigarette and cash Rs. 5,000.
In another report of theft, miscreants stole one LPG cylinder and one pair of shoes from a house at Nongthymmai, Nongkhyriem.
Sanlee Nongkhlaw lodged a complaint that on July 25 around 1.30 am, miscreants stole seven pairs of shoes from his house at Nongthymmai, Nongshiliang.
In this connection, Police arrested one Kennedy Lyngdoh and on his leading two others Bhim Sunar and Vinod Lama were also arrested.
Four pairs of shoes were recovered.
GH theft cases
Cases of theft were also reported in Garo Hills as on July 12, miscreants broke into the grocery shop of Chandrokanto Rabha at Hotogaon Bazar in West Garo Hills and stole goods valued around Rs. 96,607.
Father Binoy Joseph, Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Tikrikilla lodged a complaint that during the holidays, miscreants stole computer monitors, CPUs, UPS and other equipment from the school.
