Defending the reshuffle, he said, “It is a question of creating new space for some of our colleagues and at the same time friends who have been in the Cabinet will then be available to further work for the party because this is how democracy works.”
He said that all the members of the Cabinet including the Chief Minister, should be able to make themselves available for the party organization to strengthen the party.
“The nation will be strong only when political parties are strong,” Sangma said. He , however, did not divulge the name of the minister to be inducted on Friday. When asked on who is the ‘chosen one’ he smiled and said, “I will tell you.”
