NONGPOH: The Women’s Organisation of Ri Bhoi District, or WORD, will felicitate DD Lapang for his contribution to all-round developments of the district and the State as a whole and to the society.
WORD president JJ Kylla said the people of the district are indebted to him for his work. The felicitation programme will be on August 31 at NSCA Mini Stadium here. WORD is part of Dr DD Lapang Felicitation Committee supported by prominent leaders of Ri Bhoi. Apart from being a politician, Lapang was also an active church leader and regularly participates in disseminating and preaching the Gospel in various church gatherings.
