4 from Nagaland injured in Ri Bhoi accident
Four persons from Nagaland, who were injured in a road accident in Ri Bhoi on Sunday, have been shifted to International Hospital in Guwahati.
The four injured persons from Dimapur — identified as Monojit Choudhury (24), Vicky Naha (27), Ashom Konyak (24) and Payal Saha (24) — were coming from Guwahati in a Maruti Esteem when the vehicle hit a truck parked along the road at Jyntru village in Ri Bhoi around 10am on Sunday.
The Nongpoh-based 108 ambulance took the injured persons to a local hospital. They were later referred to the Guwahati hospital.
Bike accident
A 21-year-old man sustained injuries when his two-wheeler skidded in 6th Mile on Sunday. Bateiborlang Sung, a resident of Nongthymmai, was with a friend and they were on their way to Sohra. The accident happened around 3.50 pm. He was taken to Pomlum PHC and later to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Car hits pedestrian
In another incident, a Maruti 800 hit one pedestrian and later slammed on an electric post near the CRPF office in 4th Furlong at 5:30 pm on Sunday. The driver of the Vehicle Damebantei Kurbah (19) sustained injuries whereas the pedestrian Vikram Das (20) sustained minor injury. The two injured victims were shifted CH, Shillong by Lawmali based 108 ambulance.
Bike hits 5 in GH
One person was grievously injured and four sustained minor injuries when a two-wheeler hit them at Magurmari in West Garo Hills recently. Tinku Hajong (24) hit the five persons on Saturday night.
Earlier on August 3, a motorcycle (ML-14-0514) ridden by Raj Babu knocked down Ponondro M Marak at Latri Bollonggre in South West Garo Hills. onondro M Marak and the motorcycle rider sustained injuries and were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
