Arrested bank official brought to Guwahati on transit remand

GUWAHATI: The arrested deputy manager of IndusInd bank branch at Bhangagarh in the city, Olivia Dutta Choudhury who was arrested by police at Moradabad in Uttar Pardesh on Sunday was brought here on Tuesday on two-day transit remand from Delhi.

The bank official who has been arrested on charges of fraudulent withdrawal of over Rs 3.50 crore from the accounts of at least customers of the bank, would be produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here on Wednesday.

At least four cheated customers of the bank had filed separate FIRs against the bank officials after they had found that huge sums of money had been siphoned off from their account.
