Gratuitous Relief
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 16,00000 only for payment of Gratuitous Relief to the beneficiaries affected by thunderstorm and lightning in different villages under Thadlaskein, C&RD Block.

Bongiyo Sahitya Parishad, Shillong has organised its literary workshop Karmashala’s 27th annual day on Sunday on the Parishad premises. “Improvement of the declining trend towards learning of mother tongue in Meghalaya” was discussed by the teachers and writers. Alak Saha was the chief guest in the programme.
