SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC), Shillong, protested against the chief minister’s “adamant attitude” in not fulfilling its 14-point demand before the inauguration of the multi-facility utility centre at Mawkhar on Wednesday.
HYC members came to the venue with placards but the district administration prevented them from demonstrating there as Section 144 was imposed.
The organisation later criticised the district authorities and claimed that they were not trying to create any disturbance.
HYC has also launched ‘Save Hynniewtrep Mission’ which is an indefinite mission.
