CM orders CID probe into revenue leakage

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has ordered a CID probe into corruption in DMR and Taxation Department in terms of leakage of government revenue at Dainadubi check gate in North Garo Hills since 2006-2007 to 2014-15
Appreciating the action of the chief minister, the A.chik Indigenous Justice Initiative Forum (AIJIF) said that this was in response to the memorandum submitted to the chief minister by the NGO regarding the the missing of Rs 27 crore from the state exchequer.
