SHILLONG: Former legislator E.C.B. Bamon, who left the NPP recently, has joined BJP.
Bamon on Thursday said he had joined the BJP and an official function will be held soon by the party in this regard.
Last month, Bamon quit the post of vice-president of NPP as well as its primary membership citing a bleak future if he remains with the NPP.
Bamon is expected to contest from Mowkaiaw which is currently represented by Independent legislator Robinus Syngkon.
