N F Railway employees  donate  Rs 1.92 Cr  to  flood relief fund in Assam

GUWAHATI: The employees of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) have donated their one day’s salary amounting to more than Rs.1.92 crore towards flood relief for the people of Assam. The General Manager, N. F. Railway  Chahatey Ram  handed over a cheque for Rs. 1,92,30,660 to the Chief Minister of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal at his office in Janata Bhawan in Dispur here on Friday.

The N. F. Railway had also run a number of special trains during the recent third wave of floods in Assam to carry man and materials for flood affected people of Assam.
