The chief executive officer, Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) has informed that the MHIS has started a Help Desk at the MHIS – State Nodal Agency Office at Laitumkhrah. The desk will help and provide the beneficiaries with all the information about the scheme. In case of queries and complaints the beneficiaries can call on 0364 – 2507477.
Dentists’ meet
The Dentists’ meeting to discuss the regulation tribunal for the purpose of registration of dentist will be held on August 29 at 12 noon at the office of the Directorate of Health Services, Laitumkhrah. Conveners of the meeting request all dentists within the state to attend the meeting as directed by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
Worship festival
The Christian Worship organisation MANE will hold a one-day worship festival, ‘Shillong Praise Festival 2017’ on Saturday at the Students’ Field, Mission Compound. The theme of the festival is ‘Our existence, to proclaim’.
AWWA
A two-day event was organised by the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) to celebrate its 51 years of existence at 101 Area on Wednesday and Thursday. A special presentation on water conservation was carried on the first day followed with a medical camp on the second day of the celebration.

The Director, Educational Research & Training has informed that the Learning Outcomes for elementary stage of schooling developed by NCERT is available on the office website of the Directorate of Educational Research & Training, Meghalaya, www.megeducation.gov.in. The Khasi and Garo version for Lower Primary Stage are also available on the website.

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Shillong is celebrating its 15 years anniversary by
organizing a function in the institute premises on Friday at 3 pm. The institute has trained around 38,000 students in technical skills across the region. It was informed that although the computer training department started in 2002, the celebration was deferred for the same day to incorporate the sacred presence of the vice president of the Ramakrishna Order.
