1 killed, several injured in separate accidents

SHILLONG: One person died while scores were injured in a spate of road accidents across the State.
On August 26, around 9.30 am, an accident took place between one truck (AS-07GB-2315) driven by Malki Singh (33) and one Tata Sumo (ML-04B-4165) driven by Bhalang Pakma (26) at Puriang. In the incident, ten occupants of the Tata Sumo sustained injuries and were admitted at NEIGRIHMS and one victim was admitted at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong while the Sumo driver was declared brought dead at Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
In another incident, two people sustained injuries after the scooty they were travelling in got hit by a bike. This incident happened on August 27 at 12.30 pm in Jyntru Village Ri Bhoi District. The two injured victims are Jason Jana (26) and Kyntiewborlang Massar (29). Nongpoh based 108 ambulance helped the victims in shifting to CH.
On August 27 a jeep turned turtle in Ladweitang Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills. In the incident, two persons namely Kdupphar Lyngkhoi (23) and Shaiborlang Lyngdoh (22) sustained injuries. Reportedly, their jeep went off road and overturn due to technical problem. The Nongstoin based 108 ambulance helped in shifting Lyngdoh to Nongstoin Civil Hospital and Lyngkhoi to Shillong Civil Hospital.   
Aisuk Khongsit (26) of Mawlai Mawtawar sustained injuries after being hit by a vehicle. On August 27 at 5.20 pm, a Maruti van hit her in Mawlai Umshing near Gate 3 of NEHU, when she was on the way home. She was transported for treatment to KJP Hospital Shillong by a 108 ambulance.
In another incident, two pedestrians were run over by a motorcycle in Garo Hills. The bike rider Barbin Marak (56) also sustained injuries. This happened in Senalgre which is under Bajengdoba Blockon August 27.
The two injured pedestrians are identified as Bidanchi Marak (6) and Linar Marak (30). All the injured victims were shifted to Rari PHC by a Rari Based 108 ambulance.
In another mishap On August 27 around 3 pm, one Jeep (ML-10B-2664) driven by Jobar Mukhim (52) knocked down three pedestrians at Mawlai Shillong. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were removed to Hospital for treatment.
On the same day, one truck (ML-05K-2755) collided with one Maruti car (ML-05N-1003) at Bynther in West Khas Hills.
In the incident, driver of the Maruti car sustained injuries and was shifted to Hospital, while one occupant sustained minor injuries.
Earlier, On August 26 around 10 am, one Maruti car (number not known) capsized at Rangshken As a result, the driver and three occupants sustained injuries and were removed to NEIGRIHMS and Civil Hospital Shillong respectively.
