SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) ticket aspirant, Air Marshall Diengngan, has asserted that most of the developmental works at Ranikor Assembly Constituency has been carried out by late UDP leader PK Raswai.

When pointed out that another party aspirant was Pius Marwein and asked what would be his next move the party gave ticket to the other aspirant, Diengngan said, “I will take my supporters into confidence.”

To these queries, another party member, Lastborn Pariong quipped, “On that part, we leave it to the wisdom of the party.”

Commenting on the victory of Danggo in the last election, Diengngan said, “He (Danggo) was able to have an easy win as there were too people in the fray last time.”

Diengngan mentioned that the UDP had stood second in Ranikor constituency and in the upcoming 2018 Assembly elections, the constituency would not dishearten the leaders of UDP.

He added that he and his supporters would hold party meeting on September 16 at Ranikor.
