Off-road challenge on September 1-2

NONGPOH: Adventurous Hynñiewtrep Off-roaders, or AHOR, will host the first AHOR 4×4 Off-road Challenge on September 1 and 2.
The natural track event, which will have six stages, will be organised at Kharsati Park.
“We expect that this will attract many participants since there will be a night track Challenge with river crossing, mud sloshing and vertical slopes in the stages,” Demetrius Onel Kharkrang, General Secretary of the club, said.
AHOR is expecting over 30 participants. The entry fee is Rs 5,000. The winner of this challenge will take away Rs 50,000 and the first and the second runners-up will get Rs 30,000 and Rs 15,000.
The Challenge is open to category of 4×4 vehicles as scores on each track will be based mostly on the skills of the driver and co-driver.
