Teachers call on CM for eligibility to undergo D.El.ED course

TURA:  Meghalaya Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma has reportedly assured to look into the problem being faced by contractual L P school teachers on the question of their eligibility to undergo training to obtain a D.El.Ed diploma.

Following reports that contractual teachers would not be accepted to register themselves to undergo training, the teachers under the banner of the All Garo Hills Government LP School Contractual Teachers’ Association (AGHGLPSCTA) on Tuesday met Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma and submitted a memorandum seeking his intervention on the matter.

During their meeting, the Chief Minister is said to have assured to look into ways to enable them to undergo an 18 month D.El.Ed diploma course under NIOS.
