NADP representatives meet CoA officials

SHILLONG: A delegation of six North East New Area Development Project (NADP) states including Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Mizoram led by Meghalaya Cricket Association honorary secretary and convenor North East Cricket Development Council (NECDC), Naba Bhattacharjee on Friday met Vinod Rai, Chairman of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) and Diana Eduljee Member of the Supreme Court Appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) in Delhi.

After detailed deliberations, it was decided that North East A zone for U-16 and U-23 and all six states will play as individual states in North East. Champion and Runners from NE zone will participate in inter-zonal tournament.

Issue regarding rescheduling of U-19, as this age group is played on group basis and not zone wise, was also discussed and matter was under discussion with Saurav Ganguly.

Naba Bhattacharjee later informed that women’s participation in national tournaments   would begin this year and a talent hunt for all six states to be held in October. Prof Ratnaker Shetty will be  given charge of north eastern states.
