Shutdown notice
The Executive Engineer (PHE), Electrical Division, Mawphlang has informed that the Greater Shillong Water Supply Works at Mawphlang will be shutdown for 12 hours on Friday from 10 am onwards for distillation of the 7.5 MGD Clariflocculator including preventive maintenance of the 600 mm M.S. Pumping Main.

World Literacy Day
The District Mission Co-ordinator SSA, Nongstoin will celebrate World Literacy Day on Friday at Vanni Hall near St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School Pyndengrei from 10:30 am onwards.

Food fest
The Jingiaseng Kynthei Assembly of the Church of God (Ecclesia), is organizing a food fest on September 14 from 11 am to 5:30 pm at All saints’ Hall.

Onam
Kalakairaly is celebrating its Silver Jubilee and Onam festival at U Soso Tham Auditorium on September 10 at 10 am. DD Lapang will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Dental wing
A dental wing has been set up at JRG Cantonment Board Hospital to help patients with dental problems at very nominal rates. A free consultation camp on dental along with ENT for the general public will be organized at JRG Cantonment Board Hospital from 10 am to 4 pm on September 9.

Eye Donation
The MBCS will organise an awareness meet on eye donation on Friday at 4 pm at the Conference Hall of the State Medical Guest House, Laitumkhrah.
