Cong candidate donates CCTVs
SHILLONG: Congress candidate Mahendro Rapsang has donated 15 CCTV cameras to the people of West Shillong Constituency which will be installed in six places.
With recent incidents of petrol bombs being hurled at different localities in the city, installation of CCTV cameras will help monitor any untoward incidents in the area and create a sense of security among the residents he said.

Nutrition Week concludes
SHILLONG: The Nutrition and Dietetic Cell of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, MLCU, organised an awareness programme at Christian Academy Higher Secondary School which ended its week-long observation of the National Nutrition Week.
With the theme, ‘Smart eating is better than dieting’, the programme aimed to create awareness about healthy eating, especially among adolescents and teenagers. Major eating disorders were highlighted including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, among others.

SAN-KER to organise awareness programme
SHILLONG: SAN-KER will organise the 4th ‘Cycle Around the Globe’ Rally on September 9 to spread awareness on the issue of suicide. The event will be hosted by the International Association for Suicide Prevention. The rally will begin from Khyndai Lad at 8 am and end at SAN-KER. A workshop on ‘Suicide Prevention’ will be held on the same day at 2 pm at PTS, Mawroh.
