‘Voice of change’ in Mawkynrew from tomorrow

SHILLONG: The headman of Jongksha, Olet Kharsahnoh, will start the “voice for change” movement from September 9 at Thynroit to discuss various issues plaguing the Mawkynrew constituency.
Kharsahnoh, who will contest the 2018 Assembly elections, told reporters on Thursday, “issues on difficulties faced by traditional heads, encroachment by Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, problems faced by farmers, unemployment, healthcare and tourism will be discussed.
On his election prospects, Kharsahnoh said, “We haven’t discussed which party I will contest from. Party will be second opinion.”
