Prestone to consult supporters on exit

SHILLONG: Congress legislator from Pynursla Prestone Tynsong, who is affected by his recent exit from the MUA-II ministry coupled with the dissolution of the Pynursla Block Congress Committee, will take a decision on whether to change the party after discussion with his supporters.
Speaking to The Shillong Times on Saturday, Tynsong said that he would decide on the future course of action within a few weeks after holding consultations with his followers.
“My consultations with the people have just started and it will take some time,” Tynsong said.
To the question on dissolution of Pynursla Block, Tynsong said the state leadership of the party maybe knowing better than others in deciding the matter. Recently, Tynsong’s supporters, who were part and parcel of the Pynursla Block Congress Committee, have decided to disassociate with the party.
“My people are totally disappointed with the party. I have to respect them and their suggestions which will be guiding principle of my future course of action,” Tynsong said.
Asked whether he took the application forms from the Congress to seek party ticket, Tynsong said, “I have to hold consultations with my people before doing so as they are the ones who elected me.”
