Prominent Cong leader in Ri-Bhoi quits party

SHILLONG: A Congress member from Ri-Bhoi, Dipul R Ryntathiang, who was an MDC candidate in 2014 from Umsning constituency, has decided to leave the party.

He has cited personal reasons for his action and has tendered his resignation letter addressed to the leaders of the party.

It may be mentioned that he was a former Secretary of Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC), Working President of District Congress Committee (DCC), Ri-Bhoi district, President of District Youth Congress Committee (DYCC).

Earlier, in the month of May, CB Syiem who was the president of Nongpoh Block Congress Committee (NBCC) and also the right hand man of D D Lapang resigned from the primary membership of the party.
