SHILLONG: The Supreme Court has fixed the hearing on medical seats on Friday.
Though the matter was scheduled for Monday, it was not taken up as there were many other cases, an official said.
The Apex Court was to hear the denial of admission by Assam colleges to 10 medical aspirants from Meghalaya.
The Assam government has increased seats for OBCs and abolished the seats reserved for the students from the state.
Meghalaya was compelled to move the Supreme Court because there was no communication from Assam in the matter despite an agreement between the two states.
