Nongstoin college hosts crime against women

NONGSTOIN: A one day workshop on crime against women and Children”  was organized by One Stop Centre Iohlynti on Wednesday  in a collaborative effort of the Social Welfare Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, North East Network, Ganesh Das Hospital and Nongstoin College.

The Programme was organized under Equity Initiative, a RUSA Funded Project for 100 Students of the college at the College Conference Hall.

The Programme was inaugurated and graced by B Ranee, EAC, who attended as the Chief Guest. Ranee lauded all the agencies involved in the programme and the college for taking the collective responsibilities in sensitizing the youth in the present situation where women are being subjected to various crimes such as eve-teasing, sexual assault, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, trafficking and others.
