Bollywood movie to be shot in Shillong

SHILLONG: After its recent feature in the movie ‘Rock On 2’, Shillong is set to be the main location for the shooting of another romantic Bollywood film titled ‘Keh do na’, which is a joint venture of production houses from Mumbai and Meghalaya.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, director Karan Kashyap said that the shooting for the movie will begin in the last month of October or first week of November and is likely to be released in April.
Kashyap, who is the proprietor of Aura Mx Entertainment and Kit Kharmalki, local filmmaker and head of KK Pictures, said that the film will highlight the state’s “culture and folk dance”.
The director stated that 90 per cent of the movie will be shot here and only 10 per cent will be shot in Mumbai. The main cast will also comprise local actors along with other actors from Mumbai.
The storyline for ‘Keh do na’ will be written by Manna Sangma and the movie will be directed by Kashyap who is also the director of movies like ‘Zindagi Jalebi’ and ‘Twister’.
