Tura MP reviews implementation of Centrally-sponsored schemes

TURA: Tura MP and Chairman of the District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA), Conrad Sangma on Friday met heads of all line departments to take stock of  the status and achievements in the implementation of the centrally funded schemes at SGSY Hall, Resubelpara in North Garo Hills. 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, S C Sadhu, Addl Deputy Commissioner, P K Boro, MDC, Sukharam Sangma, Members of DISHA, BDOs and other district officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Conrad said that routine review of the centrall- sponsored schemes was necessary so as to encourage and motivate both the government officials and the public to voice any impediment in the process of effective implementation of the  schemes. He urged the concerned departments to expedite the work  in the interest of welfare of the people. 

Conrad also informed that schemes like Digital India and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) would be included in the next DISHA review meeting.

Schemes like MGNREGS, NSAP, IAY, PMGSY, and ICDS besides others were reviewed by the Tura MP. The review meeting was followed by a Public hearing wherein people articulated their various grievances.
