SHILLONG:Over 4000 residents from Mawsynram constituency on Saturday joined People’s Democratic Front (PDF) on Saturday. It is also the constituency represented by PN Syiem who is the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member and the purported leader of the PDF.
However, Syiem who has been suspended from the Congress party for three years is yet to make his official entry into the regional party which was formed in the last week of March this year.
Leaders of PDF who were present at the function included president of the party Aibanlumlang Marbaniang and general secretary Auspicious Lyngdoh.
The zonal committee of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) in Mawsynram Constituency was formed as part of the party’s spade work before Assembly election 2018.
