15th Meghalaya State Level Wushu Championship organised

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills district emerged champions in the 15th Meghalaya State Level Wushu Championship organised by Meghalaya Wushu Association at Pyndengumiong Indoor Sports Hall, Mairang from September 15 to 16.
Ri-Bhoi district claimed the runners-up title while West Khasi Hills district claimed the second runners up title.
About 150 players from the three districts – East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi – took part.
The championship was organised to select the Meghalaya team for the upcoming nationals to be held in different states.
The Association’s president Donny Ranee informed that MWA would conduct a selection camp first before selecting the team to represent the state and senior players for the National Senior Wushu Championship on  October 2 at Laitkor.
