Himachal CM lays foundation stones of 10 colleges

Shimla: With the Himachal Pradesh assembly polls just around the corner, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday laid through videoconferencing the foundation stones of 10 degree colleges to be set up across the hill state.
Virbhadra Singh laid the foundation stones to fulfil the government’s commitment to provide quality higher education, an official statement said.
He also inaugurated a technical institute at Delath in Rampur area in Shimla district and Bharat Scouts and Guide building in Rewalsar in Mandi district through videoconferencing from the state Secretariat here.
The colleges could come up in Solan, Shimla, Kangra and Sirmaur districts. (IANS)
