TURA: With a memorandum submitted to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) by the Chambugong clan seeking removal of Enilla Ch Marak from Nokmaship of Danakgre A’king, her fate would now be decided in the council court.

Executive Member in-charge of Land and Revenue, Jimberth Goera Marak, informed the Chambugong clan that a show-cause notice was issued to the Danakgre nokma over the controversy surrounding her in allegedly authorising Bernard Rimpu Marak to officiate on her behalf.

“A deadline of ten days was given to her to present her case but she did not turn up and only sent a strongly worded statement. Twice she was summoned but failed to turn up. She will now be summoned to clarify the issue in the court of the land and revenue EM,” said Jimberth Goera Marak to the Chambugong delegation on Friday.
