Malki headman election today

SHILLONG: The Election Committee of the Dorbar Shnong Malki, will hold an election of the locality headmen at Madan Malki and will commence from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday. Declaration of results will commence right after the counting of votes on the same day.
The election will be done by both male and female voters of age 18 and above and the election will be done by Secret Ballot system.
There are a total of 7 candidates to contest for the post of Headman.
The list of candidates include Richard Kharkrang of Khliehshnong locality, P.K.Sohtun of Pdengshnong locality, Prodin Kharmudai of Lumbalang locality, Tamduh Khongwir of Lumbalang locality, H.P.Oflyn Dohling of Nongshiliang locality, Vanlawphar Jyrwa of Nongshiliang locality and Wanlamphang Kharmujai of Dhankheti locality.
