Woman ‘missing’
Nishu Paul of Lower Jail Road, lodged a complaint that on May 5 around 1 pm, his wife Mithu Paul (36) went missing from his residence. However, on September 21 around 11 am, the complainant’s brother received a call from the missing person, wherein she informed him that she was taken away by Sudhir Deb and kept her in unknown location.

Man dupes three with job offer
M.R Marak, Joint Director (Admn), MBOSE, Tura on September 21, lodged a complaint that Sandeep Sutradar, Offset Operator, MBOSE has duped three persons namely Kiran Pegu, Jeneta G Momin and Somendro Saha of Rs.1,26,000 (approximately) in context of giving them all job at the MBOSE office.
The accused took the money by using the names of the Board’s staff including the complainant. The two other staff, whose names were used to obtain the money, are J.S Sangma (Deputy Director), B.R Marak (Joint Director).

Missing toddler recovered from jungle
A three and a half year boy of Umshaken village in Ri Bhoi, who was reportedly missing from the village since September 18. However, on September 21, the child was recovered from the jungle of Ryngkumanih in the district with minor injuries.

Employee flees with cash, stocks
Ranjit Paul, who runs a stationary shop at Iewduh, Shillong, lodged a complaint that one of his employees, Krishna Pada Dhar went missing since September 13 along with cash Rs. 2,80,000, stocks valued around Rs. 5 lakh and a cash book.

Fraud
Suresh R Marak lodged a complaint that on July, 2015, Martin A Sangma cheated him of Rs. 53,500 with a promise to assist him in availing loan under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and also to prepare documents including Pollution Certificate. However, the accused handed a fake Pollution Certificate to him.
