UDP will not use stones only to lay foundations: Arun Marak

SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) leader from Garo Hills, Arun N Marak has asserted that the party will construct buildings, bridges and road etc., if the party can form the government after 2018 Assembly polls.

Taking a dig at the Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA-II) government led by Mukul Sangma which has gone on an inauguration spree, Marak said, “We will use our stone not only for laying only foundations like MUA-II led by Mukul Sangma, rather we’ll use (stones) for construction of buildings, bridges and road etc.”

 On the other hand, Marak informed about the composition of the newly-elected members of 41-Songsak circle with President- Somerson Ch Marak, general secretary- John Chimen Marak besides others.

  Tributes were also paid to late Heltone N Marak.
