TURA: Great vision and policies of politicians towards education, bureaucrats and officers’ proper implementation of the education policy, Teachers’ sincerity and devotion, role of parents and the interests of students are the five pillars of education that need to be implemented properly according to Tura MP, Conrad K Sangma.
Speaking as the chief guest during the ‘Parents Day’ celebration of the Don Bosco Higher secondary School, Mendal in North Garo Hills on Tuesday, Sangma said that the real drawback resulting in failure of students is the lack of proper education code and system at the state level. He added that 80% of students fail due to poor education system. The principal of the school, Rev Fr Bartholomew K Marak also spoke on the importance of education in today’s society.
