Congress members join UDP in Ranikor

MAWKYRWAT: In a major boost to the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Ranikor constituency, several leaders and members of the Congress joined the regional party and pledged support to its candidate, Pius Marwein.
R. Bahunlang Sanglein, secretary of the Youth Wing and Media Cell of UDP Ranikor Circle, said hundreds of Congress supporters from Domshken village under the leadership of Mranly Thongni and Tainus Kharmawlein joined the party.
On the same day, a primary unit of UDP at Domshkhen was formed in which Thongni was elected as president and Kharmawlein as secretary.
Meanwhile, on September 30, Marwein and other leaders visited Mawpait Tlongpleng to welcome hundreds of Congress workers, Sanglein said and added that the Mawpait Tlongpleng Primary Unit was formed in which Amosstar Lyngdoh was elected as president and Rijiedskhem Wanniang as secretary.
