NONGPOH: A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Ri Bhoi for allegedly strangulating his mother following an altercation.
Sources said on October 4, Dengo Momin quarreled with his mother and then strangulated her at their residence at Nokchigtham Chotta Killing village under Khanapara police station.
Other members of the family found the body and spotted an injury mark on the woman’s neck. They put pressure on Momin who confessed to his crime. He was later arrested.
