Village renamed
The Government of Meghalaya in a notification has renamed Sonapahar village as Mawshynrut village with immediate effect.
Swacchata Pakhwada
Along with the rest of the country Swacchata Pakhwada is observed in West Khasi Hills on October 6 and will continue till October 13. The objective is to garner people’s involment and bring about behavioural and attitudinal change so that the ultimate goals of Swach Bharat Abhiyan are achieved and sustained.
Revision of voters’ list
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Election), Sohra has informed that the Special Summary Revision with reference to 1.1.2018 as the qualifying date, forms for filing of claims and objections for enrolment to the electoral roll are being distributed and received in the office of the SDO (Election) Sohra and by the booth level officers in all the booths within Shella and Sohra from September 27 to October 31.
