Prize winners of Manik Ghosh memorial drawing and painting competition organised by Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club with its president Manas Chaudhuri
on Saturday.
A prize distribution and musical night organised on the occasion of Kaunaj Memorial Scholarship ceremony by Dishari, a socio cultural organisation of R & R Colony on Friday. Meritorious students were also felicitated. Charles Pyngrope former Speaker of Meghalaya and E. Mawrie were also present.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
