SHILLONG: The National Secretary and spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Narendra Verma slammed the Congress-led state government in Meghalaya for its lack of performance.

Though NCP is a part of the Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA-II), he said, the performance of the government had been  dismal, people were not very happy with the performance and that was why the leaders were leaving the party (Congress).

“You will come to know in coming days. You will see a lot of things happening,” he said.

Meanwhile, Saleng Sangma ridiculed the Congress saying, “Their own former Ministers, MLAs are leaving. By looking at them we can judge why the Congressmen are leaving the Congress.”

“The NCP is just part of the government. Nobody likes the present government even the present ministers, former ministers are leaving Congress,” Sangma said.
