Two held for hiding GNLA explosives

SHILLONG: Two persons were arrested on Friday night for hiding claymores in some parts of East Garo Hills.
The claymores belonged to GNLA, police said on Saturday. The arrested persons have been identified as Jeparson N Marak and Silchon R Sangma hailing from Achak Jangkegre in East Garo Hills.
The duo had had buried two clay more boxes in the village for the future use of GNLA.
GNLA has tied up with ULFA to carry out large scale extortion in parts of Garo Hills targeting businessmen and coal dealers.Several cadres were arrested recently after a raid was conducted by security forces.
