SHILLONG: Meghalaya Government has effected major reshuffling in the state police department transferring many incumbent police officers. Superintendent of Police, (R/PR) Spill Thamar, would be the new SP (City), Shillong following the transfer of incumbent SP (City) Vivek Syiem as the SP of West Jaintia Hills.
A notification issued by the Government on Tuesday said that Mukesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police (W/R), Tura would now be posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, (CID) whereas Onimus Passi, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law and order) has now been transferred as in charge Deputy Inspector General of Police (W/R), Tura
Ricky Dkhar, Special Superintendent of Police, (SB- l) has now been transferred as in charge Deputy Inspector General of Police, (Security) whereas Heimon Toi, Superintendent of Police, (Anti infiltration), Tura has now been posted as Superintendent of Police, (Anti infiltration), Meghalaya.
Similarly, GK Iangrai, Superintendent of Police, (Anti infiltration), Meghalaya has now been transferred as Assistant Inspector General of Police, (East) Meghalaya).
According to notification, Maxwell B Syiem, Commandant 3rd MLP battalion would now be posted as Superintendent of Police, (SB- l) whereas M Kharkrang Superintendent of Police, (SB- l) has now been posted as Special Superintendent of Police, (SB- l)
Aprilish Ch Sangma, 2nd-in-Command (SF-10), Shillong was also transferred as Superintendent of Police, (Anti infiltration), Tura
Ritu Raj Ravi, who is the additional superintendent of police, North Garo Hills would now be the Assistant Inspector General of Police, (L&O), Meghalaya and Champhang Syrti, Additional Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills has now been posted as Commandant 3rd MLP Battalion, Jowai.
As per the notification, Sacheng R Marak, 2nd in command, 1st MLP Battalion, Mawiong has also been transferred as Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre, West Garo Hills.
Additional Superintendent of Police, (SF-10), Stephan A Rynjah, has now been posted as 2nd in charge SF-10, Shillong while Ringrang TG Momin, 2nd in command, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goerage, will now be the Commandant of 5th MLP Battalion in Samsong, East Garo Hills.
SP (City), Shillong Vivek Syiem has now been transferred as SP West Jaintia Hills while West jaintia Hills SP R Muthu has been posted as commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, Sohpain in West Khasi Hills.
The notification added that Bashanborlang Laloo, Commandant 4th MLP battalion, Sohpain would now take the charge of SP (Traffic), East Khasi Hills while the incumbent SP (Traffic) NK Syiem would be posted as Superintendent of Police, (R/PR)
The incumbent Superintendent of Police, (R/PR) Spill Thamar, has now been posted as SP (City), Shillong.
At last, Prianceau Pandey, Assistant Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre has been transferred as SDPO (Sadar), East Khasi Hills.
