SHILLONG: Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) president, Ardent Basaiawmoit has said the regional alliance of UDP-HSPDP placed its confidence in the wisdom of the electorate.
Addressing the gathering at the UDP-HSPDP alliance meet at Tyrsad market, Mawsynram in East Khasi Hills, he went on to add that the alliance sprang from the aspirations of the people who wanted see regional parties rule in 2018.
UDP vice-president, Allantry Dkhar said the regional alliance was formed with the objective of uprooting corruption from the state.
The HSPDP candidate from Mawphlang, PM Syiem also sought support from the public in the upcoming Assembly elections.
