Garo hills areas feel the impact of depression over the Bay of Bengal

TURA: The depression over the Bay of Bengal which has resulted in a cycolinc storm over Odisha, has also had its impact in the north east including Garo Hills. Incessant rains have been lashing the Garo Hills region since Friday afternoon and by Saturday evening many roads in Tura witnessed road blocks due to land slips and fallen trees over electrical posts. Most parts of Tura town have been without power since Saturday noon due to tree falls on power lines.
