KSU felicitates students, former members

NONGSTOIN: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Mawshynrut Circle, West Khasi Hills, organised a felicitation programme for ten meritorious students of both SSLC and HSLC examinations and also to six former KSU members.
The union felicitated 8 SSLC students who secured above 75% and 2 students from HSLC who secured 60%.
General secretary of KSU central body, Donald V Thabah attended the programme as chief guest in the presence of Rapbor Nongrum, publicity secretary, Armstrong Sohshang, president Mawshynrut circle and others. Speaking in the programme, Thabah said that programme like this will awaken the youths of Mawshynrut to work even harder to survive in this world of competition. Lauding the efforts of KSU, Thabah said “Such encouraging programme organised by the Union for the students is very meaningful.”Others who spoke in the event were Nongrum and Sohshang.
The organisation also felicitated the former members of KSU Mawshynrut Circle including Journingstar Iawphniaw, Shohshang, Sporjohn Hoojan, Shiningstar Puwein and Shemphanglin Marwein.
Mementos and cash awards were given to the meritorious students
