Mawkyrwat: Thousands of supporters from different parts of Ranikor Constituency attended the public meeting organised by the Ranikor Block Congress Committee (RBCC) on Friday.
The Congress leaders are definite about their win as they claimed that the party will come back to power in 2018.
Speaking in the meeting, Mawphlang MLA, Kennedy Khyriem, said that the party will emerge as the single largest party and will form the government next year.
“Only the Congress party can bring stability in the state in which the government will last for five years,” he said, adding that regional parties will not be able to form a stable government.
Khyriem has urged the public to not fall into the trap of some people, who soon will come to them for promoting their parties.
He also said that M.M. Danggo has done so many things in the last 20 years for the Ranikor Constituency, adding “Now you should vote for him again so that he can finish what he has started.”
Meanwhile, Umsning MLA, Celestine Lyngdoh, has come down heavily against the NDA government for not respecting the sentiment of the people in which it tried to ban even the food habits of the people.
“People of the state should vote again for the Congress, a party with great responsibility who has contributed so much for the development of the state,” Lyngdoh said.
He also mentioned about the achievement of the MUA government in the last five years in which it has created C&RD Blocks, Police Stations, Civil Sub- Divisions and the Administrative Unit in Ranikor which will be of great help for the residents.
He urged the public to cast their vote to Danggo so that he can do more for the betterment of the Constituency and the state as a whole.
Others who were present in the meeting were local MLA and PWD Minister, Danggo, working president MPCC, James Lyngdoh, president Ranikor Block Congress Committee, Jerman Nongsiang, MDC Ranikor Constituency, Manstudy Nongren and others.
