Vehicle capsizes inRi Bhoi
On November 3 circa 3.15 am, one Bolero (WB-70D-1609) driven by Bul Shylla (30), capsized at Sumer in Ri Bhoi. As a result, a female occupant sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital.
One dies in road accident
Md. Babul Choudhury lodged a complaint that on November 1 around 7 pm, one truck (NL-01Q-2908) fatally knocked down his nephew at Byndihati in East Jaintia Hills.
Theft
Pynskhembor Kharshilot lodged a complaint that on October 30, Bakstarwell Kharshilot stole his motor pump valued around Rs. 6,500 – from Langsymphut village and sold the same to one Mon Iangjuh of Mawspong village.
On November 2 at about 3 pm, miscreants stole one cell phone from the residence of Dapperly S Sangma at Lumpyngad, Motinagar.
On October 21 between 2 am to 8 am, miscreants stole a tyre from a vehicle (ML-05Q-5652) belonging to Pradeep Deb, parked at New Kench’s Trace, Shillong.
Woman robbed of Rs 80k
Taposhi Paul lodged a complaint that on November 1 circa 10.10 am, two miscreants snatched her bag containing cash Rs. 84,000 near Harihar Diary, Upper Mawprem, Shillong. The complainant also lost her gold finger ring in the incident.
Illegal coal seized
On November 1 around 9.30 pm, Magistrate along with Police detected one truck (AS-11CC-4688) driven by Saleh Ahmed Choudhury (23), while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Wapung village in East Jaintia Hills. Act. Police arrested the truck driver.
On November 2 circa 1 pm, Police detected one truck (ML-04B-8844) driven by Pynshngainlang Kympad, while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Deinchynrum village in East Jaintia Hills.
Threat
Kishaloy Dutta lodged a complaint that in 2009 he purchased a Tata Sumo under finance by M/s Modrina and paid 56 percent of the total amount. However, due to financial constraint, he advised the financier to repossess the vehicle, to which no action was taken, instead, on October 17, three persons went to his residence at Bishnupur, and threatened him of legal action.
