SDRC holds review meeting on development schemes

TURA: A review meeting with the district officials of North Garo Hills and the State Development Reforms Commission (SDRC) was held on Monday at Circuit House in Resubelpara of North Garo Hills District.

The Commission with Co-Chairman S R Marak and other members of SDRC in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, S C Sadhu, discussed on the implementation of various developmental projects of the Central and State sponsored schemes.

During the meeting, members of the SDRC informed that the objective of the Commission is to act as a watchdog and examine the progress of the developmental projects and sort out any hindrances if any, for the successful implementation of the projects. The Commission while extending its firm support also urged the departments to provide factual reports.

Issues pertaining to district offices including District Social Welfare Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Special Juvenile Police Unit, Executive Engineer PHE, District Horticulture Officer, District Medical & Health Officer and Executive Engineer PWD (R) were also discussed.
The Commission took note of the predicaments faced by the implementing departments and assured to intimate the issues with the Higher Up in their next meeting.
