SHILLONG: Director of Agriculture D Syiemiong has said that the government has no plans to change the location of the proposed Agriculture University from Ri Bhoi to Ampati.
In a statement to the press on Thursday, Syiemiong referred to a news report where NPP legislator James Sangma, while criticising the Congress government, had said the university that was sanctioned for Ri Bhoi was diverted to Ampati.
“Mukul Sangma is not the chief minister of Meghalaya but that of Ampati,” he had added. But Syiemiong ruled out such move by the Department of Agriculture.
