Singapore Govt invites Himanta for official study trip

GUWAHATI: Singapore Government has invited Assam’s Finance, Education, Health, Tourism, etc., minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit Singapore on an official study trip during November 16 to 18 next to get a firsthand knowledge of Singapore’s development experience.

 An invitation letter sent by Singapore’s High Commissioner in India, Lim Thuan Kuan on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore said that Singapore Government would arrange a progrmme for the Minister from Assam to share Singapore’s development experience such as in public administration, smart cities, water management, tourism and skill development.

“The visit will be an opportunity to exchange views and to help foster a closer relationship. The programme will include interaction with Singapore ministers, senior government officials and think tanks,” the invitation letter stated.

 

As part of the study visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore Government will provide full hospitality to the minister from Assam and bear the total cost of the visit.
